Awakenings ADE 2019

Over 124 hours of techno presented by 85 international artists in two different locations in Amsterdam. The headliner-filled program is the biggest show ever produced by Awakenings, spanning over 11 events with the biggest artists in the scene co-hosting their own night.

Our focus was to create unique yet recognisable artworks and supporting visual identity for each event. Based on the Awakenings “A” logo, we experimented with different motion techniques to create dynamic artworks to represent and differentiate the events.

Crafting the artworks in a 3D space gave us lots of options for how to use them for different applications. It also allowed us to scale the idea into 11 different artworks, that still feels visually connected.

The artworks and identity was supported with a design system to facilitate all kinds of information in a coherent way. It was then rolled out as an extensive social campaign, as well as print assets such as handouts, fence banners, merchandise etc.
